Advocacy

Chick Pea, Inc. believes in supporting the perseverance and resilience of international minors. We advocate for unaccompanied refugees and international orphans. This work is conducted through humanitarian campaigns and volunteer opportunities.

Michelle Lasnier Brinson has completed a Master’s in International Studies. Her thesis, “Is Refugee Foster Care a Culturally Attuned Solution?” addresses the global family and our role in helping all of the world’s children become productive, safe, and healthy members.

Future plans include fundraising, mentoring, and advocacy for refugee foster children placed in the U.S. without family support. As they heal from the loss of family, wounds of war, and decimated communities our hope is to promote their well being. We are always open for new ways to partner and/or support similar efforts or projects. Please let us know if you have one in mind.
